The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on how we see healthcare systems. It has also demonstrated the need for more sustainable and equitable care. In this unique moment in time, how can we ensure health system resilience takes into account the learnings and positive trends of the past two years? To discuss this, experts from the public and private sector as well as academia will come together to highlight the importance of resilient health systems beyond a moment of crisis in improving health outcomes for all, expanding access to care and enabling effective use of resources.
The objective of this session are :
- Share key lessons from the pandemic that help improve healthcare system resilience
- Discuss the importance of Universal Health Coverage and long-term investments in healthcare, specifically in light of the increasing global burden of NCDs
- Explore the role of technologies to improve sustainability of care and broaden access to it, also by strengthening primary healthcare
- Discuss how multi-sector collaborations can contribute to stronger health systems
