Indian Traditional Medicine Systems Integrating With Modern Medicine System
Tuesday, November 17th 11:00 - 12:00 (Swiss time)
Choice of appropriate health services is an important aspect of people centered health systems for achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC). One such choice, that millions of people, the world over make regularly is to use traditional versus conventional medical services. Countries with pluralistic health systems have a natural advantage since they offer a range of such choices of health care to people.
The Government of India established Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy [AYUSH] in November 2014 to ensure the optimal development and propagation of AYUSH systems of health care.
The objective of the Parallel Plenary Session is to provide a deeper understanding of the AYUSH systems of medicine to the GHF audience and to have a discussion on the synergistic interaction that the AYUSH systems of medicine have been having with the modern medicine system.
